My name is Donye'. I am 22 years old & I am a recovering alcohol & drug addict. I am so anxious to tell my story to those who are lost in a world of hopelessness and are drug dependent. Although everyone is different, when it comes to drugs all of us addicts have one thing in common, something in life is missing. Whether it be family or financial stability, everything is nothing but an excuse to turn to drugs. I never thought I'd end up using crystal meth. The reality is, I did. It is not something to be proud of, but this is divine intervention for anyone on the verge so you wont have to go through it. I lost my friends, & most sincerely, my family. Even more importantly, I lost my purpose in life. I'm only 4 months clean, but it feels like forever. I know in my heart that chapter in my life is now closed. Walk with your God whomever it may be, & stay strong. See you at my 1-year sobriety mark!!!
