Her life

My sister who is 17 years older than me was the one I was suppose to look up to the one I was suppose to trust and the one who her kids were suppose to be like. But she gave all that away for heroin and cocaine. She had the perfect life great job, two kids, wonderful husband, beautiful house. It started with pain killers for her back and that's what got her hooked, she then started sleeping with another man, lost her job, her house, her husband and kids and started using heroin and cocaine together. She ended up pregnant by this man and he beat on her kids whenever they came around placing one in the hospital. Going to jail saved her life she got caught writing so many bad checks it landed her in there for 4 years she had a clean healthy baby and straightened herself out. Now five years later shes remarried to a great man and they have two children, great military jobs and a beautiful home in Texas. She speaks to young kids about how drugs can hurt you and your family. Anyone can get clean you just need help. I remember being 11 years old and going to her meetings while she was in jail and supporting her. I know she wouldn't have made it through this without us.
