Life from addiction to recovery

my name is jeffrey. I started drugs when i was 13 smoking weed. That did not last long because a month later i was addicted to meth. It started from once a week to ever day. I couldnt function without it. If i didnt have it i went crazy. I did meth along with other dugs every day from the time i was 13-17. I couldnt stop. I never wanted to. I lost my familys support my friends werent really my friends we used each other to get what we wanted. My life was a wreck. I wanted to die... after living in my addiction for years... i needed help... i found a 12 step recovery program... and it chaned my life. I went from a highschool dropout to a graduate. My family wants me to come home for dinner. I found real friends. I want to live. My life is amazing nothing couls be better now. I am so grateful for the 12 step program. I have 2 years clean from all mind altering substances.

This is great advice on raising children to grow up with a healthy image of themselves as well as others. Teenage years can be a tough time for everyone involved. It sounds like you are handling these situations expertly, Olivia.

May I use these tips in an article I am writing for the local paper. I will give complete credit. The article to which I am referring is September E-mail: Helping Your Child Handle Mean Girls and Frenemies. Thanks
