I lost everything

I got addicted to Percocet after being put on them for my chronic pancreatitis and in no time I was addicted to any pills I could get my hands on. I not onlyruined my life but I also got my wife addicted to the same pills, all we cared about was getting the next fix, at the time I was working as a correctional officer at a super max prison and thats how I got money I worked, the worst of it is my daughter suffered more then we did, we eventually got arrested for doctor shopping and I lost ?my job, home, car everything, we divorced a couple years later and I continued to struggle with the addiction for several years, and then one day I took my pills and threw them in the toilet ?and never took another one. I know it sounds like Im a liar but im not, I later found out that i had several people who were praying for me and had been for awhile and finally their prayers were answered, and now I cant even look at or think about pills without becoming severely nauseas, and thats how god keeps me from relapsing , so if u try the steps programs or rehab units and you failed then you ought to try praying its the only way to get better, 4 years later I got my daughter back I have my own apartment and pill free and am so thankful to god.
