Chronic Homeless Crack Addict Prostitute Turned Mom and Neighbor

Chronic Homeless Crack Addict Prostitute Turned Mom and Neighbor

I was raised in a broken home by an alcoholic mother. We moved a lot, and I was molested a lot too as well as witnessed her abuse at the hands of a stepfather who tormented us for many years before committing suicide. I became a stripper at 18 but not before marrying at 15, becoming a mom at 16 and becoming a full blown black out, peeing on myself drunk by 17. Drugs came and went and alcohol was a way of life, but when I took my first hit of crack it was all over. Nothing else mattered. I was a prostitute living in flop (trap) houses and doing whatever, robbing, tricking, stealing, begging it didnt matter. I walked out on 3 children and one died (born too early) ?due to my lifestyle. I went to prison twice and had a void that I never could fill. I met someone while I was out there. I was tired, finally just done. Lost, sad and burned. My time was short. I moved in as he wanted to help. And I stopped using. I had to if I wanted off the street. I slipped a couple of times, but as days passed it got easier. Living right in the ghetto I used to walk the streets of I found peace in my soul. I became pregnant and I just kept hanging on. Every craving I fought made me stronger. Eventually I did not even think of ?drugs as much, however after 5 years I do still have my moments, it is just that today RELAPSE IS NOT AN OPTION. My voids are full, and my baby is my center! They had labled me a chronic case, but I am making a difference today, and I am getting my high school diploma at 37 hoping to become a drug abuse councelor and help others like myself. NEVER GIVE UP....THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOO FAR GONE, and I am that proof!
