I started at age 12 after watching my hero stick a needle in his arm. With that came a wave of gang violence, crime and years behind California department of corrections. I was addicted to heroin for 16 years more then half my life. Once realizing the truth in the life I lived i decided to start something new in my life. I've notice by giving up the drugs I also gave up the negative life style I was living and all this positive attributes enter in my life. For once in my life I have found true happiness while being in sobriety and that's wroth more then getting high. I'm 28 and I thank those who never gave up I thank my mom for kicking me out in the streets and turning her back on me and I also thank my partner for her role in my sobriety.

I really thought I had reached a point where I couldn't go on as a mother but your words and patience in helping me at this time have helped me to see through this dark time.
