Hi My Friends, My name is Joyanne and I am an alcoholic/addict. ?Started out on Amphetamines then added alcohol, opiates, weed, tranquilizers, anti-depressants, etc. ?I figured getting my drugs from a doctor meant I could use them forever and it was o.k.The drugs and alcohol took my pain away and they became my Higher Power. ?I was married a few times and my husbands were alcoholics and addicts. ?Just like me. ?I had two children a son and daughter. My son is no longer alive as he died of an overdose which broke my heart. ? I did not use or drink. ?Before I got clean and sober I ended up in the USC Psycho Locked Ward for 3 weeks completely broken. ?After getting clean and sober it took a long time for me to feel like I could think straight. ?I also had a lot of nerve damage which is much better today. ?I was told to do service for other suffering alcoholics/addicts and I did. ?It kept me sober and clean many times. ?Seeing people in prisons for life and others dying of the disease of alcoholism helped me to remember the consequences of taking that first drink/drug. ?I have been clean/sober for 46 years through a 12 Step Program and undeserved Grace.

?I am a grandmother and great grandmother. ?I live in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and have a good life today. ?I attend meetings and help others each day . ?I am grateful to be alive and well. ?Blessings to everyone. ?cleansober1966@aol.com
