My name is Angela and I have been drug free for 10 years. My drug of choice was heroin and I my method of use was snorting. ?I snorted 365 days a year no holidays, days off , or vacation. In the beginning of my addiction I went to work everyday high as a kite and late. ?This insane behavior continued for several years only because my boss was a true saint. I came from a very good family. My dad and my grandmother enabled me in my addiction by giving me money when I was broke. This lasted for awhile until my life became totally unmanageable. I lost my job, my home, and most of all self respect. I chose to sell drugs which led to several arrests. I thank God that I was never convicted of a crime. I finally became so tired of my addiction an really wanted some help. This was the first time I entered treatment for myself and not my family, and it was successful. Ten years later I am a law abiding citizen who works everyday and is on time. I pay my bills and take care of business. I thank God everyday. I hope my story makes someone want to strive for better life.?
