I Woke Up

Hello, my name is angel and I have been clean today one whole month.

I know to some people that isnt very long but your your fighting addiction to crack cocaine its like a lifetime. I battled my addiction for about ten years before one day last month I woke up, I had lost my car due to driving on suspended, no job , boyfriend had finally had enough, I went on a four day binge and just lost anything good i had going for me, finally the following day when I woke up, I realized just how much i had wasted away..... ten years of my life constantly letting the devil win..... I tried to kill myself then called 911 to get help before I fell asleep from taking too many pills, I ended up in the hospital , it all finally hit me, I am a great woman and I deserve a great life.... I changed my life that day....Im not sure how besides the power within and the power above..... my boyfriend has stuck by my side through all my trouble knowing i was a great person hiding under the drug scene..... today the easiest way to get over the devil calling is to call on the great lord above ...I do it quite often, I just say ohhhh you devil devil devil get away from me.... please Jesus give me strengh, crazy I think sometimes but its working, i have now found a job and have earned some resepect back, and for that I am even more determined to keep beating that devil.

I know life is full of easy outs, the hardest road is worth it, i promise it is, so for those of you who are still fighting this fight, as i am ...dont give up, dont give your life back to the devil, (drugs) keep your life and share your greatness with others
