My sister

My sister

My sister is struggling with a prescription pill addiction right now and has been for several years. When she first came clean to me about it I was shocked. It definitely explained a lot but I could never have imagined the extent. She lives with me and I have the responsibility of caring for her while she struggles to keep a job, make friends, and just stay clean. Each relapse makes me lose a little hope. She is a fantastic, compassionate, smart, hilarious, unique individual who literally completes who I am. I will do everything in my power to help her until the end of time but its hard and I question the appropriate action to take in almost every situation related to this. I just wish I knew what was right and what will work. Its so hard to watch her struggle everyday. Its also hard to be hurt and lied to and taken for granted constantly and then forgive again each time. Its hard to not blame and be angry at her. But I'll stick by her side and it will take a lot more then that to get rid of me. It seems like all I can do is love her and hope.
