I miss you Junie

My fourteen year old sister overdosed on July 24 2012. ?A week before she started high school I found her on the floor still warm. ?To see how my addiction was effecting the people I loved shocked me into Sobierty. ?My Sobierty date is july 24 2012 and I now have over seven months. ?At eighteen I'm getting the chance to have a beautiful new life down a road I never saw for myself. ?There's not a day I don't miss my little sister and wish I could have said goodbye. ?I wish I could thank her for the painful wake up it took to get me on track.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister -- I can't imagine how hard that must be for you. But it's remarkable that losing her inspired you to get sober. Congrats to you today on three years in recovery. That's quite an accomplishment and you should be very proud of yourself.
