How i have overcome a 20 yr meth addiction

I have struggled with meth for twenty years. On may 23rd of 2010 I lost my mother suddenly. My addiction spiraled out of control. I got trafficking in one state and manufacturing in another state. I was facing 10 yrs in jail. both states worked togther to get me into a drug court program. I Started the program and joined celebrate recovery, a twelve step biblical based program. It has been a long road with struggles along the way. I stuck with it and I am 344 days sober. I graduate from celebrate recovery on march the 19th. I am in phase 3 of drug court and have another yr left in the program. I have gotten my two boys back in the home with me and my life is so good. I credit my sobriety to God and the effort i put in everyday. Dont give up, keep fighting for your sobiety.

This Story of Hope was created in celebration of recovery and to let families know that there are pathways to hope and healing. The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids is the only nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families who are struggling with their son or daughter's substance use. Please consider sharing this page so that families know where to turn to for help, and that there is always hope.

344 days wow! 20 yrs? try 30 yrs and there you can find me;) do yourself a favor and dont relapse because its alot easier to stay clean than it is to get clean, at 54 y/o wisdom is the only attribute I have obtained or at least I like to think so lol;) besides the point, stay clear headed and may GOD bless YOU as he has me.
