Pain killers almost killed me

i was seeing an ortho dr and all he did was prescribing me vicodin. he stopped taking my?pills and i went into withdrawals. my then abusive boyfriend starting buying percocets from a friend so that i was better in bed. it took away the pain from my relationship and thats when i was truly addicted. he would hide it and i would spend hours looking for it but i always found it or i had to beg him for one. when i was out i went through withdrawals, mentally and physically bad, like i was dying. so i found his suppliers and befriended them. my addiction quickly grew into a monster. i had to have more. my tolerence grew to oxycontin and i was hiding money to buy it. he dumped me, unknowingly, of what i was doing and temp. stayed with a friend. i would literally stop breathing in my sleep. well i got addicted to ?suboxone. met a wonderful man and went into 3 weeks of hard detox. i am now clean and am able to control my habits. by the way, i was raising three kids thru all this. if i survived, anyone can with strong will to get better and good support. God bless us all! you CAN prevail your addiction.
