Almost Dead before thirty

Almost Dead before thirty

I am 60 years old. I started drinking at age 16. by age 18? I was also using marijuana. I come from a family with history of alcohol/Drug use. At age 23 I began to think I had a problem with alcohol. By age 29 I was divorced, using cocaine and my career was falling a part. July 3 1982 I ended passed out on my bathroom floor choking on my own blood. July 4? I ended up in the emergency room with two doctors over me shaking their heads with one saying "we don't know how you made through the night you should be dead". I got help after that and have been clean and sober for 30 years. It was not easy to make the changes necessary to help myself, however it was well worth the work.
