360 degree turnaround

Created by

360 degree turnaround

My sobriety date is 10-2-12. I suffered from heroin addiction and pain pill addiction for about a year. I finally reached a point of just nonstop pain. In the end I was hopeless, pathetic, and just downright miserable. Most days in the end I wished that I was no longer alive. I was a horrible parent, a horrible husband, really just a horrible person in general. When i looked in the mirror I was ashamed of who I became. I was malnourished, unkept, and looked as if death was right around the corner. I finally reached a point of desperation where I knew something had to change. I went to rehab on 10-2-12. Within 24 hours of getting out of rehab god blessed me with a full time job. I go to the gym 4 times a week. I feel like my life has made a 360 degree turnaround. I have my health and my wealth back and feel like a new man. I'm very grateful to be sober today I owe it all to my higher power which I choose to call god. Thanks....

Thanks for the story my sobriety date is 12,12,12 I just got out of rehab on new years day. I am 20 days clean I was in your same situation I have a 3 year old son and I had been using since I was 16 with small lengths of sobriety in between. I checked in to rehab at 145 lbs and checked out at 160 lbs. I was falling off to nothing. I feel like a new man now. Before I was so scared to detox and yes it was rough but but now it was so worth it I prayed to my higher power and something came over me that I had never felt before. So keep up the good work you are not alone.
