As with so many people, addiction has touched my life in deeply personal ways. For the past 12 years, I’ve been on a journey shaped by loving someone affected by this disease, one rooted in discovery, understanding, compassion, and determination. Learning that addiction is a disease changed everything. As I listened to people’s stories and saw firsthand that addiction doesn’t discriminate, compassion followed, along with a determination to help make a difference.

That’s why I’m running this half marathon in support of Partnership to End Addiction, an incredible organization dedicated to prevention, family support, and helping people get help sooner. I’m proud to run for a cause that means so much to me, my family, and countless others. I’ve seen too many lives lost to addiction, and every donation, big or small, helps turn these miles into meaningful change.
