In memory of Tharneishar Goode
Tharneishar Goode
She would go to bed and wake up drinking. Arrive to work intoxicated and most of the time could not go because she was intoxicated.
Despite numerous interventions, doctor visits and going to programs she still continued to drink. Provisions were made for inpatient rehabilitation program to which she denied going in. My sister moved out of state 3 times to get help for alcohol only to return to drinking.
She was hospitalized almost 4 weeks ago in being found incoherent, falling and unable to wake up. Three days after hospitalization she woke up still talking incoherently, needing blood transfusions, emergency dialysis and in and out of respiratory ICU. This past Friday on Good Friday she passed away.
I am a nurse and as hard as it was I could not tell my nephews, her sons that their mom was not leaving the hospital.
