In memory of Joseph Jimenez

Joseph Jimenez

My name is Brittany. I first met Joey in a rehabilitation place. I pretty much lived with him for 5 months and kept in touch with him after i left. He left a week after me and we kept talking and during rehab we had a "thing" and we kissed. We talked every day and every night. We told each other we loved each other. Then in October we were supposed to go my homecoming together but we couldn't because he had been on house arrest. A little more than a week later I got a phone call that he had passed of drug overdose of oxycotton. The death has completely changed my life. I don't take life for granted, and I can't stand drugs to this day. They just disgust me in every way possible. I want to become a drug and alcohol counselor because of Joey. And I want people to understand that drugs can kill you and how bad they are for you.
