It's been almost a year and I miss her more with every day. Marika died a month before her 19th birthday due to a cocaine overdose. It sounds so ironic now, but she was so full of life, and such a positive person with so many possibilities in her future. She battled depression, but would always put her problems aside for a friend in need. Marika was an aspiring model, and fell victim to the pressures of the industry. She was a beautiful young girl who was constantly told that she was not good enough – and eventually she started to believe it. Marika, sweetie, you were always good enough. I miss you so much, and I thank you for all you taught me.
