Drug this person used or died from: Alcohol and Marijuana Joey killed himself with a shotgun wound to the stomach. I had spent a few hours with him the night before his 21st birthday. The next afternoon when I was getting out of school, some kids were talking about a hearse being at Joey’s parents' house. Just a few minutes later I found out it was Joey, and that he had killed himself. His mother, who was one of my teachers, found him when she got home from school. He was supposed to meet with a recruiter from the Navy that day, but was afraid to because he had drugs in his system. I believe the mixture of alcohol and marijuana affected his thinking and led him to do what he did. I know if he would’ve had one more sober minute he would not have done what he did.
