Curtis Simmonds

Curtis James Simmonds 9/19/76-1/27/09
Her little face crumbled as she absorbed the bad news, and she cried
Then she asked her mommy why her daddy had died
She was just five
And oh how he tried
But he couldn't hide
From the demons inside

She said the party couldn't begin until her daddy came through the door
She didn't understand she wouldn't see him anymore
She was just four

So young to introduce them to death and to dying
Too young to tell them how hard he'd been trying
How bad they are hurting if only he know
He was just thirty-two
