In memory of David Hazelwood

Created by Family Of David Hazelwood

David Hazelwood

David was my ex-husband but a good friend, good father and good grandfather.
He was addicted to drinking at twelve years of age and continued to drink until he lost his life to asphyxiation by aspiration Ethanol poisoning at the age of 39.
Helping our son bury him and watching the pain it has caused him over the years has been really hard. I will always remember David's big heart for people and his caring way.
May you rest in peace David.

This Memorial was created to commemorate a loved one's life and to let other families know they can turn to the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids for help when struggling with their son or daughter's substance use. Please consider sharing this page to increase awareness of substance use disorders and to provide hope and healing for others.

Carleen, I am so sorry about David. I am sorry for your son and the pain he has endured over the years. And for your struggles... It is a heavy burden to bear. Peace to you.
