In memory of Jessica Snyder

Created by Family Of Jessica Snyder

Jessica Snyder

My best friend Jessie had a smile that could light up the darkest day. She loved with everything she had. She cared about her family & friends and would do anything possible to help them. She was an amazing person. She was murdered in 2003. 5 'friends' of ours broke into her house & robbed her. All because there was a safe in her house with a pound of weed and $400 in it. The guys were strung out on multiple drugs, and needed a fix... They had been high on ecstasy, xanex, coke/crack, weed, alcohol, and other drugs, for almost a week... When they ran out of money and drugs, they decided to rob my best friend's house. In the process, she was beat to death. All because these 5 young men needed to get high. They were so focused on their drugs that they didn't consider how many people would be hurt by Jess's death. I am writing this to share what drugs can do to people. I will never stop sharing her story, hoping that I can reach one person. If the situation was reversed, Jessie would do it for me. I have spent 5 years missing my best friend, and keeping her memory alive. I had a little boy in May 2007, and I named him after Jessica... I know his 'Aunt Jessie' will be watching over him from heaven and will be with us forever....

Dayna, I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. Jessica's story confirms that there are countless victims of drug abuse- not only the users and their families but the innocent bystanders as well. The ripple effect of an act such as this is beyond measure. Please stay strong- keep telling her story to all who will listen. This is the story about the other side of drugs- a victim's story. Good luck in your crusade to bring awareness to this issue. Warmly, Maureen Hall- Sean Busa's mom

Jessica- My beautiful best friend. I miss you more & more each day that passes, and not one day goes by when I don't think of you. You will always be in my heart and my thoughts. I promise you that I will take care of your 'nephew', your namesake, and he will always know that his "Aunt Jessie" is watching over him from heaven. I love you babygirl, always.

Dayna, thank you for sharing Jessica's story. It is beautiful that you will always tell her story. A senseless tragedy that leaves so many broken and grieving lives. You were a good friend... you ARE a good friend. And she knows. Love from Seattle
