Matthew Pennington

Matthew Dale Pennington, born February 12,1981 in Carthage, Mo passed peacefully at Joplin Mercy Hospital on December 3, 2016 due to a lengthy illness.

He grew up in the Avilla- Reeds area and attended Avilla Elementary and Sarcoxie High School.

Matthew was front store manager for Reeves Auto Prior to becoming ill. He was loving son, Brother, Uncle, Friend and Father.

Matthew leaves behind 1 son, Karter, 2 daughters, Keisha and Maddie, and 1 grandchild, Braxton. His father Frank Pennington of Reeds, mother Lisa Ramos of Joplin, brother Jason Pennington and Mandi of Sarcoxie and 3 nephews, Jamie, Wesley, and Briar. Girlfriend Kelly Rushing and several friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by his sister, Crista Pennington, Paternal grandparents James and Alma Pennington, maternal grandparents William and Dicey Jamerson, stepsister Salena Ramos and stepfather Armando Ramos Sr.

It is in the best interest of Matthew’s father that a memorial gathering be postponed for a later date as he remains in the hospital recovering from quadruple bypass surgery.
