Brad Beckham

Brad and I were19 when we met. We were drinking buddies and friends. He, along with his longtime girlfriend and later wife, and I were nearly inseparable for years. They took me in at one of my life's darkest times and helped me back into the world. I could not imagine a time when we would not be close.
Brad took his life in 1986, in despair over a life shattered by alcohol and cocaine. It was one of the wake-up calls that resulted in my sobriety in 1989...and I'm not the only onesaved by his tragic example.
I haven't forgotten you, Brad, these many years later. Miss you and love you. Rest in peace....
