In memory of Nicholas K.
Nicholas K.
It is what it is. That is what my handsome son used to always say. In the five short months he spent with me, trying to kick his heroin/cocaine habit. He was an intravenous drug user. He came home to "start fresh." He was 25 years old and had been in and out of jail for four years. Had a baby on the way. And was excited to be having a fresh start. The drug need took over. He overdid the amount and died in his sleep. He had just left my home the night before. He died of an overdose. And my life will never be the same. The drug will take your life one way or the other. I will always have an empty hole in my heart for my son.
Nick, I love you....and miss you.
