In memory of Thomas James Mutti
Thomas James Mutti
In memory of Thomas James Mutti, beloved brother, son, and friend. Dry Humor, a non-alcoholic bottle shop based in Easthampton, Massachusetts has established a memorial fund to honor his life and help others find a safer path to recovery. Tommy passed away in August 2016 in Leominster, Massachusetts after a years long battle with alcoholism. Tommy was a magnetic, engaging and loving person. Everyone who met him could sense they were in the presence of someone special. He brought joy to any interaction with his booming, contagious laugh, and gave generously to those in need at any opportunity. However, under the surface, Tommy struggled with mental health issues which manifested as addiction to alcohol. His passing deeply impacted the lives of his family and friends, forever changing the trajectory of some of those lives in the process.
His sister, Elizabeth "CJ" Mutti, founded Dry Humor in response to this loss, inspired to create a space that supports others on their journey toward healing. Non-alcoholic beverages became a powerful tool in her own recovery, and Dry Humor exists to make those options more accessible, inclusive, and empowering.
This fund is dedicated to providing financial support for individuals seeking access to safe, medically supported recovery programs. We hope to turn heartbreak into healing by helping others get the care they deserve—compassionately, safely, and without shame.
