Annika's Run To Help End Addiction

Hi Everyone!
Thank you for checking out my fundraising page. To be quite honest, a half marathon is pretty daunting (I'm more of a HIIT person, myself) but upon researching Partnership to End Addiction, I figured one of the best ways to honor those who have lost loved ones to addiction like myself, those who suffer from addiction, and so many others, that I'd put in the work. There's a huge stigma attached to addiction that we have to learn to break. I highly encourage everyone to watch the show Dope Sick and/or watch the documentary, "Crime of The Century", to fully understand the pathway that led to so many unnecessary deaths and loved ones.
Not many know this but I lost my mom to addiction in March 2020. She was my best friend growing up and was my rock. Kind, unbelievably creative and talented, beautiful, and intelligent are just some ways to describe her. Unfortunately, she suffered immense physical pain that led to addiction - ultimately killing her at the age of 52. She was a vessel of light to this world. By standing up against the crimes of big pharma and the existence of opioids, this is just one way that I can keep her light shining.
It would mean the world to me, my family, and SO many others who have been impacted by addiction if you could donate - even just $1.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please consider donating to support the Partnership to End Addiction and help families find guidance and hope.
