2021 TCS New York City Marathon

Jason Brown

Jason Brown

When you come to the realization that you need a change in your life, that moment is truly magical. 5 years ago I had that moment where I had to look into the mirror and ask myself, "Are you ready to change?" Dark days seemed like they were always hovering around and there was no light in sight. The positive change I made to better my life and move toward the future instead of running from the past was the best decision of my life. Hi, my name is Jason Brown. I am Chef. I am Runner. But most importantly I am a Father to my amazing son Dominick. He is the reason why I choose to "run" down the right path. It's his smile and innocence that fuels me to be the best I can be for not only myself but for him. For years I battled my own demons and lost many friends to drugs and alcohol. I wake up every day and thank God that he continues to bless me and has given me the ability to use my voice for those who are suffering in silence. I've been blessed to join the Partners For Hope team and will be running the NYC Marathon on November 1st 2020. It takes a village!! The power of community is more important than ever. I would love if all of you could be part of this communtiy and it would be greatly appreciated for any donation in order to benefit the Center on Addiction and help those who are suffering from drug and alcohol abuse. This charity not only helps those who are suffering from addiction but the family members that it affects. If we can all rise up we can bring light to ending the negative stigma of addiction and show that no matter what at the end of the day THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE!! Let us make the world a better place, one mile at a time!! Rock on, Jay
