This page is in memory of my uncle Tim Olsen, who died at the young age of 51 due to health complications affiliated with alcoholism. Tim was a very intelligent, determined, and caring person who absolutely adored his family and his two dogs. Tim fought hard and while we did our best to keep him here with us as long as we could, he unfortunately lost his battle to addiction on May 27, 2021. After realizing how truly awful this disease is, I know that Tim was not alone. Excessive alcohol use is responsible for more than 95,000 deaths in the US each year, or 261 deaths per day. These deaths shorten the lives of those who die by an average of almost 29 years. Please consider any donation, big or small, to help those families /individuals who need help from recovering from addiction. Most people cannot afford it as on average it cost families thousands of dollars out of pocket for so little time in rehab. Addiction is real, and it is out there. Let us start by helping even just a little bit to save more lives from this awful disease. For those of you fighting yourself, or if you have a friend of family member fighting, I pray for you. I pray you overcome your addiction, and may God be with you, always. In honor of my uncle Tim's birthday this month, please consider a donation to the Partnership to End Addiction, where your support will help families struggling with a loved one's substance use. Together, we can empower families with hope and support.
