You’ve stumbled across a lone survivor of a whole group of kids who were meant for something way more than the lives they ended up living. I’ve seen the look of desperation in my parents eyes for years, and I want nothing more than to help others not have to experience what I’ve been through and what I’ve put my family through. I started drinking as a freshman in high school. The heavy drinking quickly turned into heavy experimenting with anything and everything. Being in and out of inpatient facilities, I finally was seen by a doctor who officially diagnosed me an alcoholic. That changed my life. I wasn't crazy, I wasn't morally corrupt. I was my own worst enemy. I've now been sober since 1/5/16. THERE IS HOPE.
