Finding a new life

Hi my name is Bobbie I am 38 yrs old. & I am an addict. Though I have been clean for 5 yrs now I still wake up an addict every morning. My story is of crack cocaine. For 4 yrs it was my life my best friend my everything. & in my 4 year relationship with my drug I lost everything. My home my child my true spouse respect of others. On sept 3rd 2007 just months after attending my own mothers funeral higher than I can remember I was pulled over by highway patrol. I was going 95 in a 65 my van was smoking & was on a mission for my drug. When I was pulled over I ask 2 go 2 jail I knew I needed help 2 be here 4 my son. I went 2 jail & it was reported slept for 8days with out 1 wake up not even 2 use restroom. I was lucky I got sent 2 rehab & 2 this day the thing that keeps me sober is my son who was then 6 yrs old took my face in his hands looked me in the eye in the floor of the family room in rehab & said this is much better than jail mommy & kissed me, he wiped away my tears & said the most precious word "4give u mom" I remind myself of those words daily. I now have custody of that 6 year old who is now 11 a 9 year old step son & a 2 yold son. I am a full time student earning a business degree. My new life is my best life I tell people my past made me who I am 2day & believe that 2 b true. Every addict can fix things & reach the stars they been reaching 4. Give it over 2 God & he will help u break ur cycle of addiction & help u reach your goals. Good luck & bless you all
