My mom and opiates
From the time I was born 'til about the age of 4 my mom wanted drugs more than she wanted me. My mom and dad were both junkies. Luckily I had aunts and grandpartents to keep me, but was pretty much tossed around the family the whole time. The year I turned five was when she FINALLY found N.A. & A.A. meetings and God of course! She then met Emmitt and they stayed together 'til I was 18. She stayed clean and sober for 13 years, she along with my step dad was the coach of my T-ball team "T-Birds", we always went on vacations, and just always had the best times while she was clean. I'm so glad she was clean and sober while raising me! When I was 18 Emmitt and my mom split up, turns out he had been cheating on her. Seems like right after all that happened is when mom began taking Hydrocodones to give her energy while working a waitress job. 1 turned in to 2 then 3 and so on.. 'til she started looking for something stronger, which turned out to be Delaudid. People she worked with began seeing how messed up on the job she was and fired her. She then got off the drugs for a while and started seeing my real dad again. That went well for a while, 'til old habits started up again. I remember trying to put up a christmas tree with her and her just nodding off the whole time. They were doing heroin for a year or so 'til they couldn't stand it any longer. So they both got off heroin but I believe they were still doing Delaudid, but they were not getting back together. So she began hanging out with the wrong people, cooking dope, and shooting up. 'Til one day the cops kicked in her door and everyone there went to jail, which was 5 people. When she got out of jail she started going back to N.A. & A.A. meetings again and actually stayed clean for a while. Just here recently I've noticed she's going right back to her old ways. She went to the casino the other day and claims she lost her phone so I couldn't get ahold of her and was worried sick. So I went to her house to check on her and she had one guy in the garage working on a car and one guy passed out in her bed and she was no where to be found. I'm not real sure what to do anymore.. I just wish I had the balls to tell those guys to get out of her house and never come back, then there's another part of me that wants to just shut her out of my life. What do I do!?
