Keep going

Starting at age 15 I was addicted to opiate pain killers, meth, and alcohol. Got married when I was twenty and had a beautiful daughter. Then when I was 24 my wife and I had a son. My son passed away 3 months later and my life spiraled even deeper out of control. Then my wife left me with my daughter at age 26. I went to detox and was clean of drugs for 8 months and my drinking got worse. Then the drugs came again. I ended up losing it one night in July and elbowing the rear window of my car requiring 20 stitches in my arm and being told that one inch the other way I could have hit an artery and bled out in 3 minutes, I decided to check into a 30 day rehab. While there I learned so much on how to manage my recovery. Completed the program in the 30 days after 13 days of detox, and moved into the transitional living program for 60 days. Since then I have acquired a job, an apartment, and yesterday purchases my first vehicle, all while continuing being sober. I freed myself from drugs, alcohol, and even cigarettes. I have 7 months of sobriety and I'm loving it. There is light at the end of the tunnel and hope. Keep going and striving to get your life back. It's possible for anyone.?
