Son of a pharmacist
I have never done drugs in my life because I was aware of its direct and side effects since my very early childhood years - not to mention that My father and brother are both pharmacist. They know drugs. That Said I have occasionally found myself lighting up cigarettes as a way to escape from my troubling life, it's difficulties, etc. I have also smoked cigars and other nicotine intensive substances. They all are drug. They slow down your brain activity and weaken your neuron cells (in addition to lung cancer). I am smoke free since January 1st, 2013 and not going back to that terrible habit. To all smokers and substance addicts out there I haveone thing to say "there is hope. Quit today. Do it the cold turkey way" . Good luck all.
This Story of Hope was created in celebration of recovery and to let families know that there are pathways to hope and healing. The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids is the only nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families who are struggling with their son or daughter's substance use. Please consider sharing this page so that families know where to turn to for help, and that there is always hope.
