It's been such a long ride, but I am here to say that it can happen for you!!

My soulmate, love of my life, born to a violent alchoholic, sexually abused, and didn't have a chance since his adolescence.? Such a sweet, loving person but now a sad, ill, alcholic himself.

Drinking everyday for fun/to forget, turned into an addict, couldn't go a day without booze without withdrawals.

Hospitalized after finding him having a seizure on the bedroom floor from being too sick to drink so he went into severe withrawals.? Kept sedated for over 2 weeks so his withdrawals would pass.

Even drank again, hospitalized 2 more times, halluicinations, seeing people, bugs, objects that weren't really there ( a porcelain duck in my hallway, tom thumb, etc.. I know WOW ).

Scared out of my mind, back in the hospital, what will get thru to him.

REHAB.. AA MEETINGS every day over a? year...Wow a year has gone by, he still isn't drinking.

Now onto almost 6 years sober... a clearer mind, a new man.? My Husband, married him almost 4 years ago.? My fairytale life has finally begun.? Day by day, we remind ourselves where we have been, and where we are now.? License back -check??? Good Job back -check??? Good life back? - check.

Thanking God everyday, one day a time, my prayers were answered and so can yours be.
