I have been struggling with addiction for years. I tried to fight it alone and have been unsuccessful. Finally, I reached out for help,and was met with an overwhelming amount of support and love. With the help of my family, friends, and AA, Im begining to take small steps towards recovery, facing my demons head on. Recovery has given me a newfound outlook on life and a newfound appreciation of myself. I realize that my addiction has made me stronger, more resilient and more capable of facing whatever life throws at me. So far in my journey, I have been able to mend some broken relationships in my life, and find new ones with people who truly care for me. I'm developing a better understanding of myself, my strengths, and my resilience. My experiences have filled me with gratitude, because today my life is filled with love, understanding, and inner peace.
