As a person in long term recovery from drug addiction, I've dedicated my life to helping others recover. It's never too late (or too early) - but you have to be willing to do the work.
I lost everything in the world that mattered (and more) as the result of active addiction. In order to recover and deal with the underlying issues that fueled my addiction, I needed a combination of treatment, therapy and 12 step groups. And I had to commit to do the work on myself. Embrace the discomfort. And be teachable.
Here are the resources I personally utilized:
Partners for Hope raise critical funds on behalf Partnership to End Addiction – the nation’s leading organization dedicated to addiction prevention, treatment and recovery. Every dollar raised on behalf of the Partnership* will help ensure free, personalized family support resources, including our national helpline, peer-to-peer parent coaching, customized online tools and community education programs, can reach those who need them most.
