Thank you for visiting the memorial I created in memory of my husband, Danny.  He remembered his first man-to-man talk with his father where he was given his first tumbler of Scotch; he was 13.  And so began a lifetime of drinking that eventually turned into a struggle with alcohol dependency.  He hated recovery.  Alcohol had marked every milestone of his life and he felt deprived without it.  He went to rehab, attended the support group meetings, and saw multiple therapists.  He still struggled with cravings and triggers. The alcohol induced health issues were a constant reminder of his addiction.  He felt strongly about sharing his experiences with young adults.  He told them his story as a cautionary tale of what addiction does. In lieu of flowers please support programs with a mission to bring hope to families and individuals affected by addiction.
