In memory of Susan Luebke

Created by Samantha Crosby

Susan Luebke

Susan Gale (Bluhm) Luebke, 65, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Susan was born in Towanda, Pennsylvania on February 22, 1956, and spent her youth and young adult years in Dallas, Texas. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas and worked in rug and carpet sales for many years. In her thirties, she reunited with her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Thomas Luebke, and they were married for more than 30 years. They moved to Alaska in 1995, where they enjoyed years of fishing, hunting, and showing off their beautiful state to friends and family who visited. They eventually relocated to Spokane, Washington, in 2008, where she lived until her death.
Susie was a creative, free spirit, who lived, loved, and dreamed big in her earlier years. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and gardening and was never without her next “big project.”
She is preceded in death by her mother, Flora Bluhm, father, Gerald Bluhm, and husband, Thomas Luebke. She is survived by her stepson, Andrew (Ashlea) Luebke, grandchildren Cayden, Hailei, and Lawson, stepmother Jackie Bluhm, sisters Samantha (Mark) Crosby, Charlotte Manheim, brother Carl (Patti) Bluhm, nieces Jessica, Julia, Hannah, and Becca, and nephew Zack.
As she requested, her ashes will be scattered along with her husband’s ashes at one of their favorite spots near Hatcher Pass in Alaska. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Partnership to End Addiction:
