Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am fundraising on behalf of the Partnership because I want every family to come to know the Partnership and the resources they provide to help them with their son or daughter's substance use. I have personally witnessed the devasting effects that a loved one's substance use has on them, and their family and friends too. It truly is a family disease. When my loved one began using, I felt lost not knowing how to help him as did his other family members and friends. So often, parents, family members and friends are lost, overwhelmed without guidance or support. They feel ashamed and isolated. I also am raising money so that the Partnership can continue their advocacy work. Current policies are in place that work against families in need, hitting populations at risk especially hard. Everyone deserves access to mental health services and treatment centers. Furthermore, the stigma of addiction leaves those using or in recovery without support that can help bring them to or sustain their recovery. I know that the money I raise in honor of my loved one's journey towards recovery works against the stigma of addiction and helps the Partnership continue their critical work to end substance use and support families struggling with their son or daughter's substance use.
